Q:Who is eligible to apply for an account?
A:Currently, residents of the US, Puerto Rico and US Virgin Islands are eligible to apply. Individuals with a billing address in the 50 United States may apply for an account online here. Individuals with a billing address in Puerto Rico or the U.S. Virgin Islands, or who prefer to apply by mail, may download a Spanish-language credit application here, or download an English-language credit application here.

A: The Fly Now, Pay Later deferred payment option is available only when you use your AmericanAirlines Credit Card to make a ticket purchase on AA.com†. These ticket purchases get 6 Months No Payments, No Interest*.
Q: Do I get deferred payments when I don't use AA.com?
A: Yes, as an added card benefit, you'll receive 90 Days No Payments, No Interest* on tickets purchased through American Airlines telephone reservations, airport ticket offices, travel centers and travel agencies.
Q: Do I get deferred payments on purchases other than tickets?
A: Yes, you'll also get 90 Days No Payments, No Interest* on all other purchases from American Airlines, including AAdvantage® upgrades and Admirals Club® memberships.
Q: Do I receive AAdvantage® miles when using this card?
A: You won't earn extra AAdvantage miles by making purchases on this card. Of course, you can still receive AAdvantage miles based on your flight activity.
Q: Can I use the card to buy travel on other airlines?
A: Yes, as long as your ticket is issued by American Airlines (or on behalf of American Airlines by a travel agent), your itinerary may include flights on other airlines, such as flights operated by American's oneworld partners that have an AA flight number. Generally speaking, you can use the card to pay for any ticket purchase on AA.com. The AmericanAirlines Credit Card can't be used to pay for travel that is ticketed by another airline.
Q: Can I use the card to make purchases onboard the aircraft?
A: No, at this time, the AmericanAirlines Credit Card can't be used for onboard purchases.
