Welcome to the web site of the Utah Department of Financial Institutions (DFI). The Department is responsible for chartering, regulating, supervising and examining state-chartered financial institutions. DFI also has jurisdiction over residential mortgage and consumer lending.

This web site is designed to provide useful information for the general public and financial institutions within the State of Utah. It contains listings of financial institutions, mortgage and consumer lender information, downloadable forms, general information, links to other related sites and more.

Extended Hours / Extended Service - Beginning Monday August 4, 2008 the department will extend its office hours Monday thru Thursday and be closed on Fridays. These changes are in connection with the Governor's "Working 4 Utah" initiative.

Are My Deposits Safe? - Recent media attention has prompted questions from depositors at banks and credit unions as to the safety of their deposits.
